Our employee elves were hard at work last December volunteering for Toys for Tots at the organization’s “workshop” near Nexstar’s HQ in Bloomington, MN. Thank you to everyone who used their Paid Volunteer Day benefit to make spirits bright for many children. We’re grateful for this jolly crew and the tireless support of the team at Toys for Tots. And, we’re pretty sure Santa appreciated the extra help, too!
We were honored to catch up with our inspiring Nexstar member Dennis Traina of Trager Home Services, Long Island, NY, on our Super Meeting Podcast last month. Tune in as he talks about the trusted connection he and his team share with their customers and how this special relationship sparked a movement - through the founding of a nonprofit Fueling Kindness - to assist families struggling to heat their homes.
Giving back to their Roswell, GA community is super important at TE Certified Electrical, Plumbing, Heating, & Cooling, and their team is always on the lookout for opportunities to lend a hand. Recently their big-hearted crew helped build a new resource center at The Drake House – a charity supporting single moms – which resulted in an additional $10,000 donation through Rheem HVAC’s “Difference Maker” award. “The check from Rheem HVAC was an awesome surprise. Helping others is really the best part of being in the trades,” explained Josh Booker, TE Certified Owner.
At Nexstar Staff Day in May, our employee team assembled 39 STEM backpacks for the students at Farnsworth Aerospace Elementary in St. Paul, MN as part of our inspiration to Be. Do. Have. Give.
When the backpacks were delivered, these curious kiddos got to work! One teacher shared that some students even brought their STEM kit creations to school the next day for show-and-tell. Thanks to all our employees for jumping into the fun!

The caring and big-hearted team is intentionally making a positive impact for their customers and community, especially supporting veterans transitioning to the work force and helping shelter animals.
The big-hearted team at Standard Heating & Air Conditioning recently stepped up together to make a positive difference at Feed My Starving Children. We’re inspired by this group that rallied to support an incredible cause and help provide meals to those in need.
