It’s that time of year: Employee Engagement Survey season! We’re excited to once again offer our Nexstar members the opportunity to participate in this meaningful process. Conducting an engagement survey is a powerful way to ensure your culture champions your people, which helps them to feel heard, supported, and engaged.

When you ask employees for their honest perspective, you gain a true health check on many aspects of your business. You make it clear to your team that you care about their experience working for you and value their voice. At the same time, you gather practical insights into how employees feel about their work, their leaders, their opportunities for growth, and the systems and processes that shape their day-to-day working lives. These insights are invaluable for any organization that wants to build trust, strengthen communication, and create a workplace people genuinely enjoy being part of.

Rather than relying on assumptions, gossip, or hallway conversations, leaders receive evidence based data directly from the people living the culture every day. This clarity allows you to recognize what’s going well and address the areas that may be causing frustration, so people feel better about working for you and on their team. And this matters, because the cost of losing good people is significant—not just financially, but in the strain it puts on your remaining team and the disruption it creates for everyone, including your customers. Burnout, cultural drift, and turnover don’t happen overnight. They build slowly, and surveys offer an early warning system that gives leaders the chance to address challenges before they turn into the pain of replacing employees, retraining, and rebuilding momentum. A thriving culture is intentional, and the engagement survey is one of the most reliable ways to guide that intentional work.

The best part? The Employee Engagement Survey is free for Nexstar members and it’s incredibly simple to administer.

  • On Monday, February 2, members will receive a personalized email with a link specific to their company, which they’ll forward on to their team. Responses are completely anonymous, which gives employees the safety and confidence to be candid in their feedback.
  • After the survey closes, members receive access to detailed results, along with the opportunity to schedule a debrief conversation with yours truly. In that discussion, we will review key insights, learn best practices for communicating the results to your team, and discuss meaningful actions you can take to strengthen your culture. Instead of guessing what employees need or where to focus your time, you’ll have answers straight from your team.

The feedback you receive through the Employee Engagement Survey is truly a gift. This information gives you a solid foundation for making better decisions about the employee experience at your company. Most importantly, it helps you focus on what your employees need to feel valued and confident about their future with your organization.
