PHILADELPHIA – The focus of this year’s Nexstar Network® Super Meeting was levels: Nexstar asked its members to get real about the current revenue level of their businesses. Nearly 500 Nexstar members attended the annual meeting in Philadelphia.
“Growth isn’t just about the business owner,” said Nexstar President and CEO Jack Tester in his opening speech at Super Meeting on Oct. 9. “It’s about the employees and the community.”
In an unprecedented move, this year the Super Meeting breakout sessions were organized by member revenue level. Each level was assigned a color-coded badge at $2 million, $5 million, $10 million and $20 million or above. Although the sessions were tailored to each revenue level, the session leaders all focused on the same five pillars of growth: owner ability; profitability; promotable talent; goals, systems and behaviors; and managing change.
But Super Meeting is not the end all be all of this resource. Online now and available to Nexstar members are 96 e-learning modules, each focusing on a specific business aspect in a revenue level that relates to the five pillars of growth. Every module features interviews with Nexstar members currently operating their business at that level.
The project was developed by a team of Nexstar members and staff. It is intended to be a learn-at-your-own-pace tool for members to use in conjunction with coaching and other Nexstar resources.
