ST. PAUL, Minn. — Nexstar Network® celebrated the opening of its Frank J Blau Jr Training Center in St. Paul, Minnesota on December 3, 2014. Complete with a state-of-the-art video and E-Learning studio, this 6,891 square foot facility also boasts two large training rooms, able to seat nearly 100 attendees, as well as smaller workshop-style meeting space.TrainingCenter_4CM

Nexstar President & CEO Jack Tester addressed the grand opening crowd, “Frank’s mission for starting Nexstar, and what we carry on today, was to help contractors see the value of the services we provide for our communities. As an industry, we need to shore up our self-esteem and charge the right price to ensure we operate successful businesses, providing superior service to our customers and good jobs and benefits for those we employ.”

“What we wanted to provide with this training center,” Tester adds, “was a first-class experience when our member contractors and their employees come to St. Paul for training. This state-of-the-art facility will no doubt confirm they are part of a first-class industry and a first-class organization here in Nexstar.”


Nexstar will host a myriad of training events and workshops in this new facility, including its flagship Service System class for trade technicians; functional management-level classes including call center, service management, HVAC marketing plan and HVAC install; and leadership workshops focused on business planning and marketing.

Nexstar founder and facility namesake, Frank Blau, Jr. attended the ceremony joined by additional founding Nexstar contractors, first-year Nexstar members, and the Nexstar Board of Directors. The grand opening also served as the welcome reception for Nexstar’s December Boot Camp class, which launches new members on their journey to use the resources and tools now available to them.
